A Treasure Trove of Freebies

Hi friends,

Do you ever find yourself struggling to get things done? If so, you're not alone. But with the right tools and resources, you can take your productivity to the next level.

In this post, I've gathered together some of my favorite free resources for designers and front-end developers. Each section focuses on a different area of your work and includes tools and tips that I've found helpful in my own projects.

  1. First up, let's talk about some alternatives to the old boring Lorem Ipsum filler text. If you're a fan of pirate movies and comics, you'll love Pirate Ipsum. And if you've watched Breaking Bad, then Heisenberg Ipsum might be right up your alley. And for some fun movie quotes and conversations that you can use in your designs, check out Fillerama.

2. Next, let's talk landing pages. Want to create a landing page that converts like crazy? Check out Marketing Examples or read Julian Shapiro's post on how to write an enticing homepage. Trust me, these resources have been a game-changer for me.

3. And last but not least, here are three more tools that I use for designing and building web apps. Intel Unison is my go-to for seamlessly transferring files between my PC and phone. Wappalyzer is awesome for quickly identifying the tech stack of websites I admire. And if you're struggling to find the perfect photo for your website, Burst has some unique and high-quality photos that won't get you in trouble with copyright issues.

And since I know some of you that read this newsletter are creators and as a creator myself, I know that sometimes it can be tough to convince yourself to get started. So here's a little something to ponder when you're feeling stuck:

🧠
The impulse to keep to yourself what you have learned is not only shameful, it is destructive. Anything you do not give freely and abundantly becomes lost to you. You open your safe and find ashes. - Annie Dillard

Hope you found these resources helpful, so let's continue the conversation below in the comments.
